Culann's Hounds with Lucia Comnes, April 16



Join us for another raucous show at Cyprian's, with Culann's Hounds, or the "Irish/Cajun Rebel Roots Rock Dance Party," as they like to call themselves. Foot stomping seems to be a theme with us here lately, and this is exactly what the Hounds deliver. The musicians in this group are some of the most intriguing individuals around, and together they produce lively tradition-rooted music with a punk sensibility. Opening for the Hounds will be Lucia Comnes, another homegrown talent whose virtuosity as both a singer and fiddler were evident from an early age. She's performed as a member of the women's vocal ensemble Kitka and is now enjoying a solo career playing music inspired by traditions from Ireland, Eastern Europe, and many other points on the globe.
